Toto is the company that manufactures the extravagant Japanese toilets, also known as Washlets. These toilets have a heated seat, a bidet and deodorizer, among other things.

Before To forming Toto its members were session musicians for Steely Dan[3] Seals and Crofts[4and Crofts[4] Boz Skaggs, Sonny and Cher. The guitarist Steve Lukather was the band's lead singer.

About Toto

Toto was formed in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, David Paich (who at the time were also acclaimed studio musicians with Boz Scaggs) and singer/bassist Bobby Kimball. Taking their name from the Latin word meaning "all inclusive," the group was determined to explore every style of music.

In 1981, Toto's third album Turn Back is a failure, but they rebound with their fourth release Isolation which contains two hits, including the title track and Roseanna. The album and the tour made them a household brand all over the world.

After a short hiatus, Toto returns with the album Fahrenheit. It is a departure from the ballads that were featured on previous albums and also includes some heavy rock. This album was their first album to go platinum in North America.

When they record the band's fifth album, the band loses their manager and are financially in trouble. They decide to record a brand new album and change their name to an alternative producer. Joseph Williams, the son of John Williams, the legendary film composer and actress Barbara Ruick from 1950s, takes over Fergie Frederiksen as lead singer. Joseph is more natural as a frontman than Frederiksen and gives the band a much needed boost.

The band releases Mindfields in 1999 and embarks on a massive worldwide tour. After a few months in Europe they come to Japan where the shows are sold out. After a brief break, Toto resumes recording and begins recording their first live album, Absolutely Live in 1993 which includes the cover of Weezer's track Hash Pipe in response to the band performing their hit song Africa on the recent tour. Toto's touring group is comprised by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.

Musicians

Toto is a rock band from America that achieved their greatest success in the 1980s. The band was created by session musicians with experience and has sold more than 40 million albums around the world.

Toto was the first album released by the band in 1978. It was a huge success that helped the band gain international fame. Since then,  토토 꽁머니  has released 14 more albums, which have also been hits.

Toto composed their first and sole film score in 1984 for the film Dune. It was a huge project and the entire group had to be involved. Kingdom of Desire was another hit album. After a world tour, drummer Bobby Kimball left the band and was replaced by drummer Fergie Frederiksen, who was a member of Le Roux. The band then forged ahead with their fifth album, Isolation. The album contained a variety of songs that were hits, like "Stranger in Town".

After Isolation Toto went on a hiatus. This gave the members of the band the opportunity to pursue their own projects. In 1996, the band was reunited to tour and release an album. It was the first time in more than a decade that all the original band members were on stage.

The following year, Toto toured together with Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band. This was the final time that all original Toto members Toto were performing together. The band broke up after this. Toto came back together for a benefit concert in 2010 to raise money for the ALS Foundation. This was the first time all the original Toto members were on stage together in over 31 years. The original members were joined by keyboardist Greg Tambu who filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate who filled in for Shem von Schroeck.

Tours

Toto has remained one of the most loved rock groups for more than three decades, having scored massive hits such as "Rosanna," "Hold The Line,"" and their 8X-platinum smash, "Africa." The band's anthemic arena-rock is heavily influenced by a variety styles that include progressive rock, world rhythms, jazz, and soul.

The band suffered numerous setbacks in their later years, despite their acclaim. In 2002 keyboardist David Paich and drummer Greg Phillinganes took a medical leave of absence. Shem von Schröeck took over however, the group wasn't the same without Paich or Phillinganes. In 2008, a string lineup changes as well as a series of albums that were disappointing led Toto to end their tour for a period of time. The group returned to touring in 2012 after the release of the album 40 Trips Around The Sun.

The album marked a return to form for the group, and the tour accompanied it with sold-out shows in North America and Europe. The reunion of Toto gained momentum with the return of bassist Shem Von Schroeck and guitarist Steve Lukather.

Toto's music is as relevant today as it was in the 70s and 80s, getting new fans with each new generation. Their success has made them a permanent part of pop culture, and their live performances are always filled with energy and excitement.
